Although we were still hoping this morning, that everything could go as it was planned so many months in advance, unfortunately we have some bad news:
9 out of 10 of our producers and winemakers from South Africa wanted to travel to us for the spring Tasting event, but because governments around the world make changes to travel restrictions almost daily, there is a particular fear of possibly being quarantined if they do travel to Belgium.
Small family businesses and winemakers cannot afford that of course and that is why we wish to keep them out of harms way and hence we have devised something else …
We have a different proposal:
The tasting at Restaurant Marcel in Antwerp can NOT take place on March 23rd 2020, but will be postponed to Monday, August 31, 2020 (our spring tasting and autumn tasting will then become 1 large tasting with extra winemakers – more info will of course be closer to that time)
Because the marketing manager of Jacques Mouton, for the launch of their 2 new wines: “Antoinette and Madeleine”, does not want to abandon us and he is the only one who still wants to travel despite the possible consequences, we have thought of the following:
OPENDOOR day at World of Wine in Komen on Monday, March 23, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. for all those who still want to come and taste it and also meet him:
All bottles, from all producers, will be opened in order for you, who are present to taste with us at that time.
The new price list that you received last week can already give you inspiration
So we hope to welcome you on Monday, March 23, but then at our office: Avenue de la SIDEHO 5- 7780 Komen / Comines, and would like to learn which of you would be interested: natascha @ worldofwine. be
